Lisa Ortiz is a Boston-based video director with a focus on broadcast journalism in production as well as on-air and video editing. At Lasell University, she led the television club, managing shoot schedules, crew organization, and teaching pre- and post-production strategies to new members. Ortiz also anchored for News and Sports News. Before assuming her higher role on LCTV, Lisa co-ran a murder mystery show, enhancing on-air dialogue and mastering editing skills. An internship at Last Minute Productions gave her insight into independent media production, where she worked as a video editor, focusing on condensing material, transcribing dialogue, and helping develop a script. The experience taught her about team management, client interaction, and advanced camera operations from her boss, Jay Dobek. She applied these skills to revamp her university's television club's production processes.
